Mike Benedum Earns Podium Finish at Legendary Hilltop

Mike Benedum made a trip to the Legendary Hilltop Speedway (Marietta, Ohio) on Friday night for an AMRA Weekly Racing Series program. Twenty-one AMRA Super Late Models filled the pit area at the 1/4 mile oval, and Mike started his outing by timing in second overall during qualifications. In the main event, Benedum advanced from his sixth starting spot to register a third place finish behind race winner, Butch McGill and Travis Brookover. The team traveled to Princeton Speedway (Princeton, West Virginia) on Saturday evening for the West Virginia Dirt Cup, which boosted a $4,000 top prize for competitors. Mike started his outing with a heat race win to lock into the seventh starting spot for the finale. Unfortunately, dense fog forced officials to postpone the main event until Sunday afternoon.
