Mike Benedum Wins Skidmore Memorial at Elkins Raceway

Mike Benedum invaded Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia) on Friday night for the unsanctioned Red Fredrick Memorial. With 28 Super Late Models registered in for action, Benedum laid down the third fastest time in qualifying locking him into the Dash. Rolling off 6th, Mike jumped up one spot to place 5th. Earning the 5th-starting position for the $5,200-to-win A-Main, Mike Benedum dropped one spot in the 52-lapper to place 6th.

Returning on Saturday night for the Skidmore Memorial, Mike registered the fastest time overall in qualifying before coming in 2nd in his heat behind Walker Arthur. Starting the feature in 5th, Benedum blasted past race-leader Walker Arthur on the high-side en route to his second win of the season and a $5,000 payday. Tim Senic, Tyler Bare, Walker Arthur, and Ryan Montgomery completed the Top-5 finishers in the 50-lap affair. (Zach Yost photo)
