Benedum notches fourth-place finish at I-77 Speedway

On Saturday afternoon Mike Benedum visited I-77 Raceway (Ripley, W.Va.) for the 29 Upper Big Branch Miners Memorial Race. After topping the speed charts in time trials, Benedum scored a third-place finish in the Dash. Receiving the third-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Mike was running in second late when mechanical issue dropped him back to fourth. He trailed Freddie Carpenter, Chris Carpenter, and Drake Troutman to the checkers with Kenneth Howell coming in fifth.
