Mike Benedum begins 2021 season at Eldora Speedway

Making his first start of the 2021 season, Mike Benedum traveled to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday afternoon for the double Dreams weekend. With preliminary results already completed on Wednesday, Benedum would have to roll off on the tail off his heat on Thursday evening. Failing to place third or better in his heat, Mike transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the $127,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream. For another round of preliminary features on Friday afternoon, Mike jumped up one spot in his heat race to finish sixth. Needing a fourth-place finish or better in his B-Main, Benedum fell short with a ninth-place finish.

Rolling off ninth in his heat race on Saturday, Benedum came in seventh, giving him one final shot at the $126,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream with a B-Main appearance. Locking in the Top 3, Mike logged a 12th-place outing.
