Benedum ninth at I-75 Raceway with Spring Nationals
Mike Benedum started off his Memorial Day weekend on Friday afternoon at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) with the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals.
With 34 Late Models on site, Benedum locked himself into the A-Main in qualifying and would roll off from the fourth position. For the $7,553-to-win feature, Benedum got stuck on high side and fell back to 13th before recovering for a Top-10 finish ninth.
Switching gears to North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon, Mike finished sixth in his heat before dominating his B-Main. For the $10,053 main event, Benedum completed 16 laps before calling it a night.
