Benedum lands Top-10 finish in week two opener with Southern Nationals Series
Kicking off the second week of the mini-tour, Mike Benedum followed the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Monday evening for the Scott Sexton Memorial.
Locking himself into the feature through qualifying, Benedum placed 10th in the $7,552-to-win main event.
Benedum left Tennessee with a 13th-place showing at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) before heading to Georgia for three straight days.
Mike finished 16th and 18th at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway and Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway respectively before he wrapped up the weekend with a 12th-place run at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.) on Saturday.
Benedum is fifth in the current point standings.
