Benedum scores seventh-place finish in Southern Nationals opener at Beckley Motor Speedway
On Friday afternoon, Mike Benedum kicked off the 2025 Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series at Beckley Motor Speedway (Mount Hope, W.Va.) for the $10,053-to-win season opener.
After finishing fifth in a heat race, Benedum started 13th in the 53-lap main event and snatched up six positions to land inside the Top-10 in seventh.
Dealing with rain showers at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.) on Saturday, Mike started from the seventh-row and finished just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
